Summary of President Trump’s Decision to End DACA – September 5, 2017

1. No new initial DACA applications will be permitted as of September 5, 2017;
2. Initial DACA applications received before September 5, 2017 will continue to be processed;
3. Renewal applications that are currently pending will continue to be processed;
4. Renewal applications for DACA holders who expire prior to March 5, 2018 will be accepted until October 5, 2017;
5. No other renewal applications will be accepted;
6. Current DACA-based EAD’s will not be terminated;
7. There will be no new Advance Parole applications granted on the basis of DACA;
8. Currently pending Advance Parole applications will be administratively closed and the fees will be refunded;
9. Currently valid Advance Parole documents will remain valid.
